DROWN

A man is forced to confront his repressed savior's guilt when a series of nightmares leads him to the site of his lover death. The film enters Louis' mind and experiences his chaotic and harrowing psyche through a mixture of narrative storytelling and modern dance.

  Chelsea Rowan was born and raised in a small town in southern New Jersey. After graduating high school, and experimenting in a variety of creative fields, Chelsea became aware that her true passion was in film. She went on to graduate from the University of New Haven with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication – Mass Communication and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English – Literature. Outside of the classroom, Chelsea has worked on a number of personal projects and a handful of independent films. Chelsea currently resides in the Rogers Park area of Chicago.

Ashlea Palafox hails from Fort Worth, TX and started dancing at the young age of four. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Dance from Texas State University-San Marcos, she was offered a dream opportunity in New York City. She spent five years living in the “Big Apple” as a professional modern dancer. She was a company member for Valerie Green/Dance Entropy and also had the honor of performing with artists such as Gloria McLean, Pele Bauch, Todd Henry, and Jen Painter. Currently, Ashlea is completing her Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling upon admission of her completed master’s theses. Ashlea is also working as an Expressive Therapist at Linden Oaks Behavioral Hospital where she works with a variety where she works with individuals as and families to create a holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing. 

Cast

Steve Wisegarver is an actor, fight choreographer, producer, husband, and father. This is his first film credit and looks forward to spending more time in front of a camera. Steve graduated with a B.A. In Theatre from Illinois State University in 2009 and has since been living the starving artist dream. He also runs a non-profit theatre company, Nothing Special Productions, acting as Associate Producing Director and Resident Fight Director. When he isn't gracing the stage or screen, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife, Jenn, and newborn son, Jetson.
